Welcome, Gina Marie
as our new Director of Youth Ministry

Gina MarieWe are delighted to have found a energetic person to provide leadership in one of our important areas of ministry, our youth. Through fellowship, projects and just growing up,, this special group of our worship family needs and deserve our special attention. We have been blessed with Gina Marie Hatcher who has accepted the position of Director of Youth Ministry.

The following is a brief history as an introduction into our new Director of Youth Ministry, in her own words:

I attended Washington State University and graduated in Hospitality. I worked in Coeur d’Alene for a year after graduation. I wanted to see new things so I decided to move to the Seattle area. My stepdad was living here during a construction project so I moved in with him. I lived in Renton for the summer and now I live in Ballard and love it!
I love Spokane and was born and raised in the valley there. My family is all there. I have three brothers and two sisters; ranging from ages 27 to 7. Music is the way to live life. Without music I’d be nothing. It inspires me, calms me, and makes me smile, cry and just appreciate everything around me. I love to shop and see movies. I’m a big movie buff. My favorite movie of all time is Wizard of Oz. I love to read more than anything. I enjoy fiction but do occasionally enjoy a good biography. Being outside is one of my top activities as well; I grew up with a lake cabin in Idaho and could spend all day everyday in the water.
Traveling the world is on my priority list in life. I would love to go to Greece because my great-grandfather came to America from Greece through Ellis Island. I would love to go to Japan and Italy, as well. I’ve seen many places in the U.S. and hope to see much more it in the future.
Most people call me Gina Marie but Gina is fine, too. "Whatever you can remember" is what I always say. Nicknames I have are G, GM and a few embarrassing ones from my mother.
I’m so happy to get to be a part of the Wooden Cross family and especially the lives of the youth. I look forward to getting to know all of you, and have a lot of hope and excitement for this coming year! Thanks for inviting me into a great group of people!
