Music is part of every worship service. There are times for the entire congregation to sing, and there are times for the congregation to listen to the beautiful professional quality music provided by our choir, organist, bell choir, Faith Alone Band, and other guests. Just listening can be an uplifting time of peace, solitude, excitement, prayer or joy.
Choir
The Adult Choir is a dedicated group of members that perform every Sunday (except in the summer). These folks work hard, but have a lot of fun. If you would like to join in on their fun, they practice on Thursday evenings at 7pm. Just show up. They would love to have you.
The choir is led by Dennis Kruse, a well known local performer and vocal instructor. Check out his bio, here.
Bell Choir
These folks are truly talented. If you have not heard our Bell Choir, you are in for a treat. They perform once a month on Sunday mornings and practice on Sunday evenings. The Bell Choir is led by Malia Johnson.
Faith Alone Band
This group of mostly young adults (and some old pros) bring a more contemporary music setting to some of our Sunday morning services. They perform with guitar, drums, synthesizer, and vocal melody. When they perform, the congregation is invited to join in, which adds greatly to the “feel of worship. The Faith Alone Band is led by Kathy Johnson.
The Organ
Every worship service includes the sounds of our new Allen electronic organ. The capabilities of the organ and skill of our organist is astounding. Together they can perform like an orchestra, string quartet or the more traditional church organ. It is a treat to hear Seung Lee play this instrument.
